Most recently, I was a specialist on Facebook's User Operations team. With only a few hundred of us supporting more than a billion active users, I learned to prioritize solving the most critical problems while scaling up support as efficiently as possible. In a typical day, I'd pull and analyze data, create and update FAQs and other support messaging, manage projects, act as a peer mentor, optimize routing and automation systems and resolve hundreds of user support requests. A few times I even wrote and pushed some fixes to the Facebook codebase — still one of the most nerve-wracking and exhilarating experiences of my life.
In other words, I'm a generalist who loves to specialize.
I graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication and the Robert D. Clark Honors College. I also went to a lot of football games back before the Ducks were actually any good and that's gotta be worth some serious karma points. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
I love crazy-ambitious ideas and teaming up with people who work hard to enrich others' lives. Feel free to check out my résumé for more about my background and skills. And if you've got an idea in the works and need help with project planning and management, writing, content management or design, let's talk.
