wow; such handsome; so tie

Hey! I'm Nick. I write about media and design, edit a games and culture blog called Silicon Sasquatch and make games in Seattle, Washington.

I spent the last few years as a specialist on Facebook's User Operations team, where I learned to prioritize solving the most critical problems while scaling up support to meet our growing userbase as efficiently as possible. That meant pulling and analyzing data, writing and maintaining hundreds of FAQs, managing projects, mentoring my peers and resolving hundreds of user support requests each day.

In other words, I'm a generalist who loves to specialize.

I graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication and the Robert D. Clark Honors College. Outside of class, I spent a lot of my free time designing newspaper layouts in the offices of the Oregon Daily Emerald and working as an associate editor on the award-winning Flux Magazine.

I love a great story, whether I'm reading a great book or playing a thought-provoking game. Lately, I've been learning how to cook and brew beer and working on being a runner who, like, actually goes running regularly.

I love asking tough questions, tackling audacious challenges and teaming up with people who work hard to enrich others' lives. Feel free to check out my résumé for more about my background and skills. Got an idea in the works and need help with writing, content management, design or project management? Let's talk.
